The village women’s school is an initiative that aims to bring about gender equality by empowering and educating women and girls at the village level about the diverse changes taking place around them and help the women to make choices and take decisions that will impact their households and society. The school is a space for women to come together and discuss issues they face as individuals and as a community.
The curriculum is designed with an experiential and innovative learning pedagogy that makes it more of an interactive school where women can learn from each other while also learn about ‘life’. Manthan currently runs one school in village Nosal for women of the Reggar community.
